The Bunbury Geographe Motor Museum is a place where motoring history comes to life. Open Wednesday to Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm, the museum offers an engaging experience for all ages — right in the heart of Bunbury’s city centre.
After years of careful planning, the museum officially opened its doors in 2020, made possible through the dedication of our passionate team and the incredible support of local individuals, businesses, volunteers, and both Local and State Government departments. Their ongoing contribution is deeply valued by our management team, volunteers, and visitors alike.
Our Story and Purpose
We are a Not-For-Profit organisation, proudly managed by motoring enthusiasts who live and breathe cars, bikes, and the stories that connect them.
Our mission is simple — to preserve, celebrate, and share the rich motoring heritage of Western Australia and beyond.
The museum’s collection continues to evolve, showcasing:
- Heritage and pre-war vehicles
- Rare and memorable racing cars
- Original and beautifully restored motorcycles
- Vintage signage, number plates, and memorabilia
Displays are rotated regularly to ensure each visit feels fresh, vibrant, and full of new discoveries.

Our vintage garage offers a nostalgic look back in time, displaying original tools, workshop equipment, and parts that bring back memories for many who grew up around old sheds and service stations.
Children are encouraged to join the fun with a free ‘Auto Badge’ Treasure Hunt, making the museum an enjoyable and educational outing for the whole family.
